The Beginning of Everything - Part 1

The Beginning of Everything - Part 1

This article isn’t quite finished, because frankly, I don’t know how to continue it logically at this moment. I need your experiences and thoughts. Then again, I realize this topic is like a sprout about to grow many branches. I just don’t know what kind yet.

One Sentence, Many Worlds

My godfather used to challenge my growth and expand my thinking. On my 13th birthday, he gave me Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder – a novel written like a philosophy textbook. It took years before I could finish it. The reason was surprising: the book begins with the words “The Garden of Eden... in the end, something must have come from nothing...” That alone spun my head for months. And it still makes me think.

What if Everything Starts Here?

I reopened the book recently to remind myself of that sentence. If we scientifically trace the story of development backwards, we eventually reach the point where nothing remains. There is nothing from which anything could emerge – at least not anything we could understand. So, must we admit the fact that everything we see and experience is made from the same single thing?

At the Heart of Stillness

While writing this, I came across a guided meditation asking you to feel everything around you – the unified universe. And sure enough, with eyes closed and from a new perspective, I did feel everything in a completely different way. Try it yourself! Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and pause for a moment. Try to feel how air flows into your lungs, how your heart pumps in your chest, how the earth pulls your body, how your surroundings are close to you, how the air moves around you…

A Shared Journey

Maybe I’ve taken this thought very far, and maybe you don’t feel anything outside your body – but at least I sent you on a small inner journey 😉 If you’re anything like me and still find yourself thinking about this days later, leave a comment or message me. All discussion and experiences on this are welcome.

Let’s see how this sprout grows 🌿
Let’s bloom together 🌺
