The Beauty and Horror of the Divine Time

A lovely contradiction. As I write this, I still don’t know how things will unfold. I myself await with excitement for the Divine Plan to reveal itself and for the pieces to click into place. That beautiful sense of peace you dive into when your soul knows it has arrived home.

Divine Will

What is Divine Will, and how can you discern what it means for you? The answers are found in your soul. In truth, each of us is a Divine being with the authority to walk the earth. In truth, there is nothing between us and God. So wouldn’t it be wonderful to find your soulmate just like that, with a snap of your fingers, once you realize that such a soul also walks this earth? It can certainly feel like that, but not every situation would be ideal.

Exercise

Imagine this scenario: in one day, everyone who hasn’t yet met their soulmate sees them on TV. You’d get to watch a highlight reel of their previous day, like a reality show, completely uncensored and unfiltered. A few irrelevant parts edited out. How do you think you’d react if, for example, they had just gotten married, were declaring their love to their first love, or their first child had just been born? Or if they had just gone bankrupt, lost themselves to addiction, or denied the very faith you practice? We don’t see the full picture.
God does.

Another Perspective

Now reverse the situation—you are currently going through one of those life-altering moments (we all have something like that in our past), and the one who is alone in this moment, hoping for their soulmate to arrive, sees you. Wouldn’t that be rather shocking? If you’d see The One you were supposed to be with.
What do you think would happen to your souls? More likely than not, the effects wouldn’t be positive.

Challenging Personal Realities

I’ve pondered this perspective myself.
For example, since my teens I’ve felt drawn more toward adoption than having biological children. Over the years, my view has softened, and now I’m happy with either. So this thought arose: what if my soulmate already has children? Wonderful!
But would I have wanted to meet him, say, ten years ago, when he was in the relationship where those children were born? Exactly.
Or would he have wanted to meet me six years ago, right when both my father and I were diagnosed with cancer within the same week? I doubt it.

Sitting in the Rocking Chair

We can "what if" all the way to the ends of the earth, but it won’t get us anywhere. Waiting in the moments when you yourself are ready is painful. It’s awful. Or in those moments when your world is turned upside down and you have to survive it all without a supportive, all-understanding soulmate—in other words, while you yourself feel incomplete. Our comfort lies in knowing that all this will bring something incomprehensibly good. Something beyond even our deepest dreams.

Not Just the Perfect Person, But the Perfect Timing and Plan

Believe that things happen at the perfect time, in the perfect way. Or rather don’t just believe, know it.
That moment when both are on the same frequency. When both souls are equally open. Neither is ahead, neither is behind. Those exercises and trials have been lived through, learned from, and both have continued walking the path of their souls. And then you arrive at the same intersection, the same meeting place. Heavenly.

Impatience

At times, I am terribly impatient, and I’ve even written a drawer article about that.
I think I’ll queue it up next for publication.
But if I had to choose whether I’d go back to square one and do it all over again—
Just to reach even this magnetic moment— Absolutely I would.
Without a doubt. Without hesitation.
That much, you can be sure of!

So keep blooming. Let your soul shine. Feel your feelings. Even longing has silver linings, for it is also a promise of something far better ❤️

Pray for their happiness and success. Send them your love every time they come to mind.
