Toward Tranquil Homes By Adding Serenity

Excuse me, but Why are acoustic panels so unimaginative and ugly?
Who decided they must be industrial, easy-to-produce blocks to cover walls, making you feel like you're in a padded room with no escape?
Sure, someone out there loves cubism. And yes, some people adore slatted walls that bring the outdoors in. But as a Finn, I’ve had enough paneling in saunas. Which (btw) are excellent acoustic spaces thanks to their insulation layers, paneling, and compact shapes.
Side note: As a teenager, I often hid in the sauna to escape my family—especially during exam weeks in high school. Six people, three younger siblings (the youngest 11 years my junior) and with all the love in the world they nearly drove me mad. So, no more paneling for me. I’ve grown past that phase and fully embrace its influence on my current life and perspective.
I love modern homes. Spacious rooms, large windows flooding spaces with light—pure architectural beauty. In Finland especially, layouts often frame breathtaking lake views, blending homes with nature. Naturally, I want something more beautiful indoors than plain, compressed blocks.
Through many twists and turns, I have found my way to a path where I’ve gained access to functional materials and the skills to work them. I’ve come a long way from hiding in the sauna. I stepped outside, dove into the lake, and didn’t want to get back inside. It’s not uncommon for me to bring home a broken branch or a pretty stone from my walks. I admire them until I find the perfect spot in my garden—or my fireplace.
This is not just boring practicality; this is acoustic art.
I want to bring nature indoors. While I can’t paint floral masterpieces (yet), I create them by hand. My goal is to save families like mine from the ledge of insanity by reducing background noise - even just a bit. And I want to do it on their own terms! There are plenty of mass-produced options out there. But if you’re looking for something unique and beautiful, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome 💖
